Your ‘Lonely Pillow’ 15° Feng Shui
Personal Direction Could Be...
What’s Keeping You Single!
by P.K. Odle, The Feng Shui Advantage
Are you tired of spending Valentine's Day alone? Perhaps you're one of the millions of singles who just can’t seem to connect with that special someone? Or you feel like you're single even though you're in a relationship, because you sleep alone most nights due to travel or opposing schedules? Have you tried all the dating/relationship tips from magazines, books and well-meaning friends to no avail? Then you’re just like Oprah’s best friend, Gayle King, who has tried everything to find true love… and is still searching.
You might be wondering if there’s an unseen force that could be preventing you from sharing your bed with that special someone on a permanent basis.
Well you can stop wondering, because there absolutely is! At the moment of your birth you connect with Earth’s magnetic field in such a way that you have several unique ‘Feng Shui Personal Directions’ which influence many aspects of your life. Barely, 5% of Feng Shui professionals have the knowledge and experience to identify all of your 45° and 15° ‘Feng Shui Personal Directions,’ so it’s not surprising if you’ve never heard of your unique relationships to planet Earth. However, your ‘Feng Shui Personal Directions’ have been affecting your finances, health and relationships all your life. The exciting part is that once you know your ‘Feng Shui Personal Directions’ you have the opportunity to activate their positive and neutralize their negative influences.
Your ‘Feng Shui Personal Direction’ that keeps you from having a long-term intimate love relationship or causes you to sleep separately from your partner the majority of the time is called your ‘LONELY PILLOW’ direction. The name came from ancient-time, when in China those who were not married were expected to sleep alone. When you know where your 15° ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction is, you can avoid its affect, unless there’s a reason you want to sleep alone, such as when you’re having a hard time breaking off a relationship. Of course, if you’re already married or involved and would like to remain so… you’ll want to avoid triggering either your partner’s or your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction.
Because of its personal nature, the influence of your ‘Lonely Pillow’ relates primarily to your residence. Like all your other ‘Feng Shui Personal Directions,’ your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction can be activated by the Sitting direction of your home or the exact location of its entrances and windows from the magnetic center of your whole house/unit. When you have an entrance or window in your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction, you must prevent air currents from entering through that door or window to avoid suffering from ‘Lonely Pillow Syndrome.’
The Sitting side of your house is the private, darker and heavier side of your house, which is opposite the formal, lighter and more open Facing side. Unfortunately, if your house is sitting toward your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction, it’s the one situation where the only remedy is to move to a house that’s oriented in another direction. Several of my clients over the years have had this problem and were actually relieved to discover an outside influence was keeping them single… and that they could escape its influence by moving to a different residence.
Your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction is determined not only by your date of birth, but also by your gender. Therefore, males and females born in the same year will have different ‘Lonely Pillow’ directions. One of my client’s work schedule kept him away from home 5 nights a week, while his wife and three small children stayed in their condo, because their condo was sitting in his ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction. After learning how to use their Feng Shui Advantage ‘Personal Directions’ birth-chart, which includes where all of the members of their family’s ‘Feng Shui Personal Directions’ are located on any compass, they made sure their next home wasn’t sitting in either of the his or his wife’s ‘Lonely Pillow’ directions.
Since your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction is one of the more intimate of all your ‘Personal Directions,’ it can also be triggered if your BEDROOM door or windows are within the precise 15° section of your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction from the magnetic center of your whole house or the magnetic center of your bedroom or bedroom suite including your private bath and closets. In most cases, it’s easy to stop allowing air currents to come through a window to avoid ‘Lonely Pillow Syndrome.’ However, if your bedroom door is causing the problem, you’ll need to switch to another bedroom or move the entrance to your bedroom out of your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction. When I’m advising on the design of new homes for my clients, the location of both the bedroom door and beds are a critical factor.
When your bed is located in your 15° ‘Lonely Pillow’ section from the magnetic center of your entire home or your bedroom/suite, it will also interfere with your love-life. In this case, you must move your bed out of your ‘Lonely Pillow’ section to avoid sleeping alone. If that’s impossible, then locate the bed so at least your body isn’t in your ‘Lonely Pillow’ section and so the smallest portion of your bed possible is in your ‘Lonely Pillow’ section. On that note, it’s OK if your mate is sleeping in the portion of the bed that happens to be in your ‘Lonely Pillow,’ since males and females have a totally different set of 15° ‘Lonely Pillow’ directions.
To locate the magnetic center of your entire home/unit on an accurate floor plan of your space divide the interior width by 3 and the depth by 3 to form a tic-tac-toe type grid with 9 sections or palaces. Then draw a diagonal line connecting the opposite corners of the center section of that grid to form an X at the magnetic center of your home. That drawing along with the exact location of Magnetic North according to your compass reading (taken outside) will allow you to locate all of the 15° sections of your home.
Until you know which section relates to your ‘Feng Shui Personal Directions’… you can use the grid over your floor plan to make sure that your entire bed is located in one section of the grid, because when your bed is divided between 2 sections of the whole house grid it causes relationship and/or health problems. I’ve had many clients whose back aches went away after moving their bed off an energy grid line that had been dividing their body, because where your body is bisected by an energy grid line you’ll have health problems. And when your body is divided by two different energies from head-to-toe, you’ll have health problems that affect your entire body.
Another thing that can split up a relationship is when your bed is bisected by energy grid lines from head-to-toe between your two pillows. As I was helping a client in Louisiana move their bed into one section of their grid, she said "Ever since we’ve lived her, my husband and I have said… it’s like were sleeping in the same bed in different rooms." That’s the best way I’ve ever heard the affects of having your bed split between 2 energy sections between the pillows from head-to-toe described. If you find your bed location causes your body or your pillows to bisected, move your bed so that it’s entirely in one section of the grid… even if it’s not in one of your supportive 45° sleeping directions, according to your date of birth.
Exposed Beams crossing your body or separating two people in a bed causes the same problems as energy grid lines crossing your body or dividing between you and your loved one. Another way you could inadvertently be triggering ‘Lonely Pillow Syndrome’ is by hanging or having a mirror within the precise 15° of your ‘Lonely Pillow’ section from the magnetic center of your whole house or your bedroom. Large mirrors, such as mirrored closet doors, are never recommended in the bedroom, because they reflect light and light is Yang, which means activity. Therefore, the reflected light causes the energy in your bedroom to be more active, which makes it difficult for you to have a restful night’s sleep. On top of that, the more mirrors you have in your bedroom, the greater the chance that one will activate your ‘Lonely Pillow’ or your partner’s ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction.
If by chance you find a mirror in your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction, remove the mirror or cover the glass of the mirror so it’s no longer reflective. Over the years, my clients have come up with many creative ways to cover mirrors in the ‘Lonely Pillow’ sections of their homes. The easiest way to cover a mirror is with window privacy film to make the mirrors appear as frosted or stained glass that complements your décor. Be sure to use the static version so the film is just as easy to remove as it is to install. One of my more creative clients used water-based paints to create a beautiful mural over the mirrored closet doors in the bedroom of her rented apartment. In many instances my clients’ bathroom mirrors have been in their ‘Lonely Pillow’ directions, in which case they have opted to put their ‘Vision Board’ (images of what they want to attract into their lives) over that part of their bathroom mirror using double-faced tape.
As the name implies, sleeping with the top of your head pointing toward the 15° of your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction will certainly keep you sleeping alone. Even if your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction is part of your ‘Best Sleeping’ directions according to your basic 45° Yi Jing Trigram (Kua) directions; you must move your bed to a different direction to avoid activating your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction. Many of my clients have simply moved their headboards away from the direction of their ‘Lonely Pillow’ and happily began dating again, even after years of not dating at all. Several have already met and married that special someone after eliminating the affects of their ‘Lonely Pillow’ directions with the help of their ‘Peach Blossom Vase,’ which has nothing to do with the actual peach blossom flower or even the color peach.
In the Chinese community ‘Peach Blossom’ refers to sociability, flirtation and romance. Using your ‘Peach Blossom’ vase correctly will bring you more potential romantic partners to choose from. I was totally surprised how excited a Chinese client became, when I began to tell her how to use her personal ‘Peach Blossom’ vase during her consultation. It seems her Grandmother who lives in China had encouraged her to have a Feng Shui consultation and instructed her... "To find a Feng Shui consultant that could tell her how to use the Peach Blossom Vase Trick." I doubt that her Grandmother knew how rare such a consultant would be, because....
The 15° aspects of your ‘Feng Shui Personal Directions,’ including your Lonely Pillow, Peach Blossom or Romance Vase are the most highly guarded secrets of the ancient science of Classical Feng Shui. As I said before, barely 5% of all Feng Shui consultants have the ability to calculate all 9 of your ‘15° Personal Directions’. The majority of those who can… aren’t willing to teach their clients how to locate their ‘Personal Directions’ anywhere they live or work. Needless to say, you won’t find all of these secret ‘Feng Shui Personal Directions’ in the currently popular Feng Shui books. That’s why I created The Feng Shui Advantage’s ‘Personal Directions Self-Mastery Toolbox’ to make this information available separately from an on-site consultation.
The 5 Factors that MUST come together for Your ‘Peach Blossom’ Vase to bring you more romantic partners to choose from are:
- ‘Peach Blossom VASE’ of your specific color, with…
- Your specific color of fresh CUT FLOWERS in…
- Fresh WATER... (dirty water brings disastrous relationships)
- Place your ‘Peach Blossom Vase’ full of fresh cut flowers and clean water in your ‘Peach Blossom’ 15° Direction from the magnetic center of your bedroom or whole house if you live alone.
- Plus… be sure there’s nothing triggering your ‘Lonely Pillow’ direction.
A word of caution… Using your ‘Peach Blossom’ vase does NOT guarantee quality, just more quantity to choose from. You still need to use discretion and decide for yourself... who you want to spend time with and/or commit to.
Please NOTE: Your Romance Vase is all about attracting more potential romantic partners to choose from… not stimulating the romance in your existing relationship. However, if you want to stimulate more romance in your existing relationship you can place your headboard toward you or your partner’s ‘Peach Blossom’ direction.
