How Much Is NOT Managing
Your Building’s Existing Feng Shui Energies Costing You?
by P.K. Odle, The Feng Shui Advantage
In 2004, a client called upon me to analyze the Feng Shui of the business he had recently acquired. After running the company for the several years, he bought the business, which In its industry is a well known and a well established business. What he couldn't figure out was...why after he acquired the company they began to have problems.
When I arrived he explained that he hadn't changed anything involving how the business was being run that would explain the lack of clients. The only thing different was that he was now occupying a different office and he thought that might be the cause of the company's difficulties.
This was not the first time I had been called to assist a company or home-based business having problems for no apparent reason after changing the area of the building where they were working. After all, you are influenced by the unseen energy pattern of the areas where you spend the most time. Therefore, when you begin to spend more time in a different area, you will have different results.
Classical Feng Shui works with repeatable energy patterns that have predictable consequences. All buildings have areas with supportive energy combinations and areas with sabotaging energy combinations. Entrances are always the most important areas to have supportive energies, because the energy at an entrance affects the entire space. In homes, the second most important areas are the bedrooms, because we spend a third of our lives in bed. For a business the next most important areas after the entrances are the offices of the major decision makers, sales department and accounts receivable offices. When any of those areas have sabotaging energy patterns the entire company suffers.
All buildings have energy patterns that contribute to procrastination and delays. For a business it is vital that those areas are not at the entrances or other important areas, because they contribute to delays in acquiring new clients, completing projects and/or receiving payments in a timely manor. Let's face it, rarely in business are delays a good thing.
There are also energy patterns that contribute to gossip, arguments and legal problems. If one of those energy combinations is in the area of your entrance, bedroom or offices... you may find yourself wondering why you are experiencing such difficulties. Only a lawyer’s home or office could benefit from those types of energy combinations, however if they don't want legal problems of their own it's advisable that they remedy those negative energies.
FYI... Fire colors trigger both of the sabotaging energy patterns mentioned above. Therefore, remove all Fire colors (all shades of Red or Purple) from important areas, until you are certain they are not causing you problems.
I have serious concerns about mentioning which remedies to use, because that would be similar to your doctor calling in a prescription without examining you… which could actually cause more harm than good. For instance, Metal is the most used elemental remedy, but if you were to add metal objects to areas with a certain unseen energy pattern… you would trigger bleeding injuries from metal by accidents or violence.
Remember, there are NO one-size-fits-all remedies in Classical Feng Shui. It is always a case-by-case analysis that determines which of the five elements and how much of those elements are required to make the building as supportive as possible. Once the time-tested scientific calculations reveal the unseen energy blueprint of the building to determine where the elemental remedies are necessary… the ART aspect of Classical Feng Shui relates to how you choose to implement your remedies so they complement your décor. Your friends and family should not be able to distinguish your Feng Shui remedies from your other decorations, except to pay you a compliment on your good taste. In other words, your Feng Shui remedies can be our secret.
In the case of the client who recently acquired the company, the energy pattern of his new office weren't the major problem. It was a matter of timing, because the entire building went into a "20 year Money Lock" on Feb. 4, 2004, shortly after he took over the company. It was a relief for him to know that it wasn't his fault that the company was having troubles, because when a building is “Locked on Money” the business will struggle to make even a small profit or the family has major financial problems. In many cases, a business can't survive, which could be the problem with the restaurant down the street (in every neighborhood) that is constantly changing owners.
As soon as my client implemented the necessary remedy to release the lock, it was back to business as usual. Actually, business was better than it had ever been, because he also followed my instructions on how to neutralize the sabotaging energies and enhance the supportive energy combinations throughout the entire company.
